Dashboards Add-On: ComboBox – Multiple Select

You can install this Add-on in Dashboards 4.0 or higher via the ‘Add-On Manager’.
After this Add-on is installed, you will find a new component in the Add-Ons folder called:

Dragging this component to your canvas will display a button:

Selecting this button will give you an option to set the following properties:

General

In this section we have an option to open the combo box with preselected values. The user can save their selections and use the same when opening through a backend table or set default values in the master data area itself.

Select the array which contains the data for selection (exclude headers in selection).
It should consist of 3 columns; Label, Selected, Key.
The example above would open the combo Box in default selection as Europe and USA:

Selections can be written back based on the positions or keys in a table or in a single cell.

Positions (Array) This captures the positions of the labels selected in an ascending order in a column of the excel. For example in above if europe and usa is selected it will capture the position 1, 3 and return it in a column or array
Keys (Array) This captures the keys of the combo-box (as above 23/14/24 etc) in a column in the excel
Keys (Single Cell) It captures or maps the keys of the labels selected in the combo Box in a single cell
Labels (Single Cell) It captures the labels (like-usa/europe etc) that are set up in the combo box in a single cell

Customer Key

If you do not want the Just-BI BV banner to show up when using this combox you have to enter a valid customer key.

The dynamic visibility property can be set in this tab. Please note if you plan to use this property the status value cannot be blank, you will have to give any default value to it.
